03/04 The weather is finally bike-friendly again.  Last night was a cold one though.  Cold as in my water bottles were frozen solid this morning.  My baseball cap makes a good frost-remover though.  Breakfast consisted of bagels and jam prepared at the side of the road.  Lunch was a slice of pizza.  I happened to notice that my legs, especially the shins, look brutal.  I’ll never sleep anywhere where there are more thorn bushes than grass again.

My Big Agnes air mattress sprung a leak so its been a little rough laying on the ground.  I’ll need a tub to find the leak thought.  Probably one of the thorns from when I ever so smartly laid it on top of them.

The campground I’m at now, Happy Acres CG, is incredible.  Had a shower (1st in 3 days, phew), washed some clothes (under a water facet right at the site) and cleaned the dishes since I couldn’t last night.  I was just glad to be out of that place.  The people here are really nice and of course I’m the only tent camper.  So far its the best CG I’ve stayed at.  They even have internet access (have to go to office though).

I’ve been keeping track of things that have come in really handy:  my cap, light cotton gloves (perfect for cold mornings), plastic baggies (for leftovers) and the plastic cover for my tarp for carrying garbage.

And Georgia… so far I’ve been very impressed with the condition of the roads and the scenery, but damn, maybe stop littering so much people?!  Virtually every road had some piece of garbage on it at least every 10 feet.  Some places, mostly in far south, were disgusting.

Is that bridge gonna support your weight after the beanies and weenies? Guess that mattress is gonna be rated #2 on Amazon . The mattress is no match for a thorny ol branch.

So you are approximately 230 car miles from Atlanta, but I have no idea how many bicycle miles that would be! LOL I liked the picture of that little church. Who took that pic of you on your bicycle? Do you have another female traveling companion? LOL Keep on biking nephew!
