03/09 Today killed me.  Non-stop hills from the time I left Sparta until I arrived at Eatonton.  I wasn’t planning on stopping here for the night but my legs had other ideas.  I was very close to having too walk up a hill today which would have been the first time.  At least my knee is back to normal.  So here am I recovering after having 2 Sam Adams and a rib eye steak with pecan pie and ice cream for dessert.  Yum.  Eatonton is probably my favorite town so far.  It’s very clean and has a lot of historic buildings.  I sat outside the library and latched onto their wireless to update my site from the last 2 days.

Staying at the Budget Inn ($37) which is OK but I wish they had internet access.  There are a lot of Mexican people staying here and they all have cardboard boxes outside their rooms.  I think they are cooking in them?  I’ll have to ask one of them in the morning.

Called the UPS store in Pompano where I get all my postal mail sent and had them ship everything to my Dad’s.  The sad thing is I probably just paid $10 for a bunch of junk mail.

I stopped in Eatonton on my way riding south to St. Augustine from N. GA this past summer…beautiful town.
I ate lunch sitting there in the little square outside the library, as well! Honey-bun and a coke if I remember correctly :)
I sent you an email last week…not sure if it made it to your or not….
