03/26 Not a drop of rain today. I was ready for it but it stayed dry for me. Rolled into Kentucky for the second time in my life. Hopefully this time I won’t get a speeding ticket. :) The road started off very bad and I was worried that the beautiful bike lanes in Tennessee would be a thing of the past. Thankfully after a few miles I was cruising along on a smooth shoulder.

My right knee started bugging me again. It’s pretty tender almost like I smacked it on something. If it’s still sore in the morning I might plan for a shorter day.

Staying at the KOA in Bowling Green ($26). Met a nice couple while I was checking in. Picked up some Ravioli for dinner. My sodium intake for the day should be all set–it has 950mg in it. Saw a cool little yellow snake when I was pulling into my campsite. If you don’t like snakes don’t scroll down.

Yellow Garter aka “Gardener Snake” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garter_snake

Pretty docile and usually will let you handle them without much fuss. Further north you go the more common. I use to catch them all the time when I was a Kid in MI. Haven’t seen one in many years in GA. In fact I have seen more Rattlers then Garters in GA.

Wish I had known you were going to sell the Jimmy when you came through Town. I’m in the market.
    Stay safe.

Glad it was dry riding for you. Look out KY, here comes Scott. HOOTERS ALERT!!!! I saw a couple that might be close. Evansville or Owensboro looks good since you will be heading towards IN.

Holy Moly, there’s one in Bowling Green. I know that’s where you are right now!
