09/15 New state today. 
Getting to it was fun. There’s a 4 mile bridge coming into Astoria that has a wicked climb and there’s no bike lane. I was riding with Tommy and Shannon at the time but we made it up and over it without a problem. Once we got down into the city we headed over to the bike shop because I was in dire need of a tuneup. I’ve been having the worst problem with shifting for the last couple days. The guy at the bike shop spotted a very frayed shifter cable and replaced that. I would have taken a picture of it but I kept stabbing myself in the fingers with the cable to I tossed it. On the ride here I still didn’t think it was quite right but I’ll mess with it tomorrow.
Riding along the 101 today was amazing. Great scenery along the bay. Good shoulders and not too much debris on it. I’m thrilled to be back in Oregon because I know the beaches here are incredible.
