11/15 The plan was to hang out at Shannon’s for 2 days but the only wifi available was pretty sporadic so I decided to head back to Chula Vista so I’d be closer to the border. I found a pretty decent motel so I’ve been here for the last 2 days downloading and configuring my laptop. I finally have it running with everything I need on it but I’m going to stay here one more day just to tie up some loose ends. I even added a favicon that I procured from somewhere (that’s the little bike with red wheels thing next to the URL).
The Mexican border is only 10 miles from here so what I think I’m going to do is get up early and ride right through Tijuana. It doesn’t look like TJ is very big so I should be able to pop in and get out before the kidnappers and/or drug lords even know I was there.
Sorry my loving family/friends, I know you won’t find that amusing but I’ll be fine. Really.
I have to get a tourist card which I think I can get in the US at a tourism office. Anyone staying in Mexico for more than 72 hours or traveling beyond the “border zone” (about 100 miles) needs these cards. Other than that I think I’m ready to go.

I’ll pass on the lollipops thank you.
Those lollipops look dangerous. Don’t forget to tell the kidnappers about the iTouch.
Be sure to hit up the pharmacies in Mexico. Alot of the stuff we consider controlled substances are perfectly legal down there.
Glad to be back from your bitchy Aunt? She’s in Vegas so we are safe. Are you going down the Baja to Cabo or La Paz, or heading to mainland Mexico?
I have friends between La Paz and Cabo in a place called Los Carrilos, or something like that. Be careful in Mexico and say you are Canadian.
Hey Uncle Dave. Na, it was great seeing my loving Aunt Leigh Ann. She even made some meatloaf for me and it was probably the best meatloaf I’ve ever had.
The plan is to head down to La Paz and then ferry it over to Mazatlan. I don’t think I’m going south of La Paz toward Cabo though. My Canadian passport is dusted off and ready to go.
