Ummm, so I was planning on leaving for Mexico this morning but decided to hang out for another day or two. I’m not going to be back in the United States for a while so its been harder than I thought to pack it up and head south. Also, all the talk about getting shot/kidnapped/robbed when I get there may have tempted me to stay here for a couple extra days and live it up.

Spent the afternoon walking around the San Diego Zoo with Shannon. To get over there I rode my bike to the terminal a couple blocks away and then took the Trolley (above-ground train) downtown. This was my first time taking my bike on a public transportation system. Things went pretty smooth though. It was only 10 miles so the bumpy ride was over before I knew it. Once downtown I stopped at El Taco (Taco Bell-like place) before riding the mile to the zoo. The combos there all come with fries. So I had 2 tacos, French fries and a Coke. Tacos and fries? Kind of gross now that I think about it.

The zoo was great. We managed to see just about everything there including some cute panda bears and lots of other cool animals. Weather was perfect which worked out because when I left and got to the train station to head back the credit card reader on the ticket thing was broken and I had no cash. So I rode the 10 miles back.

I stuck some pictures up from yesterday too.

NeatNot kidding... virtually every animal we saw started peeing when we got therePeedDidn't pee but has some good rangeHippos and monkeys in the same enclosureAwwNo pee but took a nice dump for us

I like the picture of the statue of the sailor and the nurse. They have a replica of that statue in Sarasota by the bay. It is awesome
