Happy Independence Day! I had every intention of leaving this morning but not having a place lined up for my rack was eating at me. There’s a guy on warmshowers that might be able to help so I hoping to hear from him soon. At this rate I should have just had it sent here.

The hotel had 3 soldiers with automatic weapons sitting here all day keeping watch over a wedding party that stayed here. I think I’m the only other guest in the hotel besides them. This morning I woke up to what I thought were gunshots but it turns out it was firecrackers for the wedding (I assume–at 6am my brain is barely functioning). They even had the front door and the entrance to the parking lot locked all day. I wonder who got married? Or maybe this is normal?
