11/09 Today wiped me out. Haven’t been this tired in a long time. Finding a healthy population in Fresno came as a welcome relief as did the pizza place where a large pie went down in record time. Think I’ll stay here tomorrow because I still have at least a days ride to Manizales but if the road was as steep as it was today it might be 2 days.
The ride up here provided some great views back down into the valley where I stayed last night. The skies were mostly clear so the range on the other side was also visible. The one picture from today was actually one of 4 I’d taken. If I can stop being so impatient and take a few shots instead of just one I might be a little happier at the end of the day.
One over-excited little yapper got its snout a little too close to the business end of my shoe and probably regretted it for a bit. This was less than an hour after I started riding. After it and its little partner in crime only a few more chases. Maybe if enough dogs get kicked in the head evolution will step up and and provide the next round of mutts with a better sense of what not to do.
