I’m back to 100% finally. I have a kind of disturbing story to tell about an experience I had here in Quito but it’ll have to wait until tomorrow. For now I just needed a post to drop some pictures into.

These photos are fabulous…as always. The clock tower on the cathedral is amazing…and the views…whew! All the color of these South American scenes is incredible. So glad you’re feeling better again, and making more progress on the road. I’m enjoying a winter wonderland back in the Mid-west…sparkly white against a brilliant blue sky…and very cold. Went sledding with the grandkids Sunday. We’re not biking…we’re snowshoeing and skating. I’m really enjoying this armchair travel experience along with you. But I’m pretty apprehensive about this “disturbing story” that is yet to come. You be careful, Scott!
Wow.. amazing photos… loved the stained glass (and I’m no Catholic!)
sorry you’ve been under the weather. Hope you’re 100% soon.
Funny, I was just thinking it had been almost 2 years since you took off… when is your actual annivesary of departure?
anyway, I’m interested in your story tomorrow… Disturbing? Hopefully, it doesn’t involve dwarves or small animals or any sort of spaghetti.
Lyza! Hope things are good with you. 02/21/2009 was my date of departure. Less than a month away from 2 years. Kind of crazy. I never did write what actually happened but I’ll get to it in the next couple days. The disturbing story definitely didn’t involve any of the things you mentioned unless you count a cat as a small animal.
Nice photos , but I too am a little concerned about the story you are withholding… Should the family start putting together your bail money?
No need. Aunt Leigh Ann said she’d cover everything.
A belated Happy New Year. A little out of sorts here. Anyway, glad you are back safe and sound. I look so forward to your writings (well most of them anyway, lol) Your pics today are awesome Scott. Love, Aunt Leta
Happy New Year to you too! Hope things are better up there now. Not sure why you were (are) out of sorts.
Thanks for the compliments on the pictures. Quito is very photogenic. Love, Scott
