I love this! Animal control officers in Los Angeles will now have the power to seize an animal simply for chasing someone. First of all there’s nothing simple about a dog barreling toward you, barking like it’s going to tear your throat out and chew on your spine, while you are walking/riding down a public street. It’s too bad the dogs weren’t locked up in the first place knowing that they are instinctively territorial and aggressive creatures but people are rarely held accountable for being stupid. Not sure why they have to wait for the dog to chase someone though. Any dog not restrained or locked in a yard/house should be seized and the owner, assuming they can be found, should be banned from ever owning a dog again.
At least this offers some protection to people out minding their own business. The only problem with this common sense law is that it’s not universal. Nice job LA!
My flight leaves for Miami at 4:30pm this afternoon and I arrive tomorrow morning at 5:30am (4 hour layover in Lima). It’ll be a long day/night but I’m really looking forward to seeing my family and eating some greasy chicken wings.
